June 27, 2014

I got off trail on Tuesday to go to a family reunion in Truckee for three days. It hasn’t even been 48 hours and I’m already immensely homesick for the PCT. I miss my trail family. It’s the most medium wonderful time of year—resupply box packing time! At the end of the month, I’m hiking from Mexico to Colorado again on the CDT with a friend who’s attempting a thru-hike. This will be my first vegan long-distance hike, but other than cheese, cinnamon roll pop tarts, and instant latté packets, my on-trail diet won’t be too different. Per usual, I’m simultaneously super stoked and super grossed out about the advent of eating all of this very soon. #cdt2018 #continentaldividetrail
